Wood skip at the Mistplatz
free in household quantities

  • According to the City of Vienna, suitable items include clean pallets, fibreboard, coated or varnished waste wood, chipboard, firewood and construction timber.
  • Boards and posts up to 20 centimetres in diameter.
  • Quantity limit according to the Mistplatz-ABC: 1 cubic metre.
  • According to the acceptance rules, Vienna's Mistplätze are open to people registered as residents in Vienna and to businesses based in Vienna.

Intact furniture: the 48er-Tandler box
for further use

  • Working, complete furniture can go in the 48er-Tandler box (MA 48's second-hand shop) for reuse. The City of Vienna lists dismantled furniture and large items as unsuitable.

  • Upholstered furniture goes in the bulky waste skip at the Mistplatz.

  2. Breaking it up saves space in the skip.
  3. Plan for at most 1 cubic metre per delivery.
